Given that this is the Devuan stable release you should not expect muct to happen with a
software update. However it is good policy upon first boot to attempt a full system update
to the latest releases of all software installed.
Once you enter the root password you will see the lethal and scary "#" prompt for the
root superuser. Be careful.
Simply perform a software catalog update :
# apt-get update
Just do exactly as seen in the picture.
