FreeBSD kde plasma: ctrl-c logs out

You have been happily using KDE Plasma as your gui desktop and suddenly after doing a pkg upgrade, typing ctrl-c will log you out.

But wait, you don't use Wayland and you never have. You have only ever used X11 configured as your SDDM profile for KDE.

Well it turns out, the upgrade will change your desktop session to "Plasma (Wayland)" to ensure that every KDE Plasma user experiences the full effect and all the joy of the bug.

Switch your desktop session back to X11
---------------------------------------

On the login screen, click on "Desktop Session: Plasma (Wayland)" and change it to "Desktop Session: (Plasma (X11)", and then login.
